"...so a little history is known..."
A long eight years ago I dropped this blog from my previously faithful daily routine and left many readers hanging I suppose. Forgive me for that. I suppose regular life caught me up and consumed me but that's a pretty lame excuse (but quite true nevertheless). Whether we realized it or not, we've been through numerous world events together in the ensuing years and through all that time, I've been slowly working on Philip's story, sending it out to publishers & historians. Collaborating on a book and visiting museums to see what interest might be drummed up to explore his letters & artifacts. That being said, this project is far from done and I've recently picked it all back up after a hiatus. Hopefully you'll still be interested in continuing (I've many, many more letters to share) and that you wonderful readers will rejoin me in exploring Philip's time & enduring love for his wife during the Civil War.
